We’re in Kenya!! The past 2 weeks of camp flew by. We camped out in our tents with our new teammates at AIM’s base in Gainesville, Georgia. Each day was jam packed with teachings, worship, team building, and scenarios.

We heard great teachings on God the Father, the Holy Spirit, hearing God’s voice, evangelism, and many more. We also got to hear many testimonies from alumni racers about the ways God moved through them during their race. It was very encouraging and exciting to think that we may experience those things as well! We also practiced house visits, buying food in a busy market, and evangelized in Gainesville.

One of the most impactful scenarios was when our squad interceded in prayer for the rest of the racers. We got to stay up to pray and worship God together throughout the night. It was such a powerful experience to be in God’s presence for hours and hours when that’s not something we typically make time for in our hurried, busy lives.

We even witnessed a healing of one of our squad mates’ ankles! Earlier that morning, we were hiking and he twisted his ankle pretty bad. He was on crutches the rest of the day and in a lot of pain. We had been praying all day for healing. It wasn’t until our entire squad decided to pray over him again while we were waiting in line for dinner that he was healed. He immediately got rid of the crutches and was able to walk and jump without any pain!! How cool that before we even left America we witnessed God’s miraculous healing!

After a long two days of traveling, we’re grateful to be in Kenya. We’ve been here for a few days as a squad resting and learning all about the culture and ministry that will start next week. We will be separated into four different teams while in Kenya. We will be spread out throughout the country doing different ministries. We are on a team with two other people. I (Adrianna) was given the position of team lead for our Kenya team. I’m grateful to step into this role and excited to see the ways that God grows and uses me during these next several weeks.

For me (Adam) the leadership decided not to give me a role yet because they wanted to free me up this season to focus fully on the mission and on being a godly husband. I’m learning how to partner with God and how to be attuned to what His Spirit is already doing in the world. I’m loving being in the Word and prayer even more now. I’m enjoying being able to see God more than a Father, but also as an intimate friend and comforter!

Praise God for all these things and for the leaders/community he has grown us in.

Love,

Adam and Adrianna
