Somehow it’s been almost 3 months since we finished the race. It feels like it’s been forever and not that long at the same time. A lot of change has happened as we’ve returned “home.”

We spent the first six weeks back in the U.S. driving all around to visit family and friends from Tennessee to Ohio to Pennsylvania to Maine. We clocked almost 4,000 miles and over 60 hours of driving during that time!! It was tiring at times but such a blessing to connect with so many of you after a year away!

We then ended our journey in New Hampshire. For the past month, we’ve been staying with friends as we seek the Lord for what’s next. As we’ve been here, we’ve gotten involved in the local ministries and have connected with a lot of people in the community.

We’ve enjoyed having extra time to process and transition back into “normal” life… or our new normal. We’ve loved spending time together and having more space to connect. Life has had a much slower pace for us these last few months.

There’ve been a lot of really good moments and a lot of hard moments. We’re in the thick of a waiting season full of unknowns and are truly dependent on God to meet all of our needs. It’s a beautiful yet challenging place to be. We’re trying to stay present in this unique time we’ve been given to slow down, seek God and each other, and receive rest. Our culture is so busy and we know it’s only a matter of time before we have so much more on our plate. We want to enjoy this time we have yet we feel the tension and anticipation for what’s next to begin. Speaking of what’s next… We have exciting news for the both of us!

I (Adam) have felt the Lord calling me to pursue engineering jobs again here in Manchester, NH. I am eager to build my technical skills with a fresh motivation to make my work a mission field. Also, we are both trying to be as involved as possible in this amazing community. They are truly a light in a dark place. I’m looking into continued discipleship opportunities as well as discipling teens or leading bible studies. Please pray for me as I wait to hear back from possible job opportunities. I don’t want just any job; I want the job that the Lord has for me so that I can thrive and make the biggest impact.

I (Adrianna) am so excited to join the Short Term Missions (STM) team full-time with Adventures in Missions (AIM)! As a lot of you know, I began my journey with AIM three years ago when I went on a week long mission trip. I then began leading STM trips during the summer for two years before we went on the race. Now, I get to continue on as staff!

I will serve as a Missions Coordinator which means I will mobilize groups (churches, schools, etc.) that want to come on a mission trip with AIM. I will build relationships with the group leaders and help them get prepared for their mission trip. I will also work with our hosts and ministry partners to get trips set up for the groups that are coming to those locations. I also get to continue leading mission trips throughout the year!

This position is support-raised meaning I need to fundraise my salary. I am seeking individuals and/or churches that would be interested in partnering with me as I pursue this calling. I would love for you to pray and ask the Lord if He is leading you to partner with me in this mission. Please pray that the Lord would provide support and continue to guide me as I enter into a new season. If you’re interested in hearing more (about the race, life since we’ve been home, and what’s next), we’d love to connect with you. Be on the lookout for more information about this new role I’m stepping into!

Lastly, we want to thank you all again for your support over the last year and a half. We’re so grateful for the love, care, support, encouragement, and prayers that we’ve received as we prepared for, were on, and now as we’ve finished the race. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you, so thank you!!

P.S. I (Adrianna) had to get a new phone number when we got back to the states. If you’ve been texting me and I haven’t answered, it’s because I haven’t gotten it. Let me know if you need my new number!
